A Musical Way of Learning Math

Jack Hoff
The one child that had difficulty with focusing was Jack Hoff. Jack Hoff is a freshman at my school and he just didn't understand math. Jack really made me think of ways to improve my explanation skills along with my interaction skills. I knew that he really loved music and that's when I started to relate more towards him than other students. I love to listen to music, even when I am studying, I'll listen to music because it helps me concentrate in what I'm doing. Everyday, Jack and I would reach for a packet to do and listen to music while I was explaining it to him. To prove that he was really listening and not just fooling around. I had him explain it to me how he would do it. We did 4 out of the 5 packets that we needed to do, but the important thing was that he understood how to math.
